Air Host has been in the airport concession business since 1970, providing food and beverage as well as news and gift concessions. Grounded in quality customer service, we serve airport communities around the nation.


Our standards of operations are the product of years of experience in dealing specifically with air travelers. 
We feel that quality service naturally follows two important principles: the establishment of high standards of operations and the use of effective, professional supervision. We have found that one of the most effective means of attaining customer service goals is through stable, effective leaders who know our business. 


David C. Shelton
President & CEO
Prior to joining Air Host in 2001, David was a partner in the Winchester Law Firm. He represented Air Host from 1979 to the date he joined us as the President and CEO. His primary expertise is in the business aspects of Air Host, including brand development. In addition, David has gained added experience in all aspects of the food and beverage and retail operations.
Kenneth Day
Regional Manager
At the time Kenneth joined Air Host in 2007, he had 16+ years of managerial and operational experience in the foodservice industry. From 2007 to 2011, Kenneth served as the general manager of Air Host’s food/beverage and news/gift operation at the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA). During his tenure at that location, he demonstrated superior leadership and operational skills and increased revenues and profits. In 2011, Kenneth became the general manager of Air Host’s operation at the Springfield-Branson National Airport, where he significantly increased revenues and profits. In 2015, Kenneth was promoted to regional manager. Kenneth’s primary responsibility is overseeing our unit operations. He works closely with our on-site managers to ensure our policies and procedures are being maintained.
Myron Pelkey
Vice President/Comptroller
Myron has been with Air Host since 1971. He is intricately involved in the accounting structure and the company's numerous affiliates and subsidiaries. He oversees all financial information for the consolidated group.
Jo Veltri
Vice President of Retail Operations
Jo joined Air Host in 1985. Over the years, she has been essential in building an exciting and appealing product line for our gift shops. Jo leads the management team responsible for opening new retail operations, which are complete with state-of-the-art point-of-sale and inventory control systems. Her efficiency in leading our implementation team has been crucial to smooth and successful startups. She is also our display coordinator, incorporating an artistic flavor to all of our product arrangements. 
Tommy Darby
Vice President of Technology
Tommy has been with Air Host since 1988. She has researched, acquired and implemented our point-of-sale and supply chain management (SCM) systems and continues to enhance these systems by compiling reports through data mining. Her experience with system design and implementation is instrumental in maintaining the flow of information that enhances the efficiency of all members of the management team. She is responsible for the installation and continuing maintenance of these systems.
